After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast, the ship will leave for the Wadden Sea. During this Dutch cruise, you might sail to the ports of Texel, Vlieland, and Terschelling. When the ship moors there in the cosy harbour towns, you can explore the islands by bike or scooter. These are also beautiful walking areas, over the Wadden Sea, through woods and dunes, and then end up on a cosy terrace with a view of the Wadden Sea.
Falling dry with the ship on the Wadden Sea is also definitely one of the goals of this Netherlands vacation package! The skipper will choose the right day for this, based on the tide and the weather forecast.
What does such a dry fall day look like? The ship leaves the harbour at an agreed-upon time and sails to the future dry fall location. The anchor goes in and now it is waiting for the ebb current to take the sea with it. A wonderful moment to slowly get a view of the seabed and feel the ship sinking on the sand.
The skipper tells you when you can leave the ship and when you should definitely come back on board. In the meantime…walk, stroll, and enjoy!
You will continue on your Wadden Sea cruise, with the route being determined in consultation with the skipper. Today is a new day to discover the islands on foot, by bicycle, or by scooter. The skipper can inform you about fun activities to do on the islands.
Today we sail back to Harlingen, arriving in the harbour by evening. When the skyline of your home port comes into view again, you will have the feeling that you have had a long, relaxing holiday. A special journey, to the rhythm of the tide, driven by the wind, in the most beautiful nature reserve of Northern Europe, the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site.

With a professional background in the nonprofit sector working in international development, we are keenly aware of the impact tourism can have on a destination and its people.
That’s why we choose to bring your focus away from driving long distances, and instead offer alternatives such as bikes, sailboats, kayaks, or simply walking to reach a destination where possible.
Moreover, in order to give you the most authentic experience, we give preference to small local hotels, B&B’s, and campsites. In these spaces, you can connect with the Dutch culture in an authentic way and experience the cities and villages of the Northern Netherlands.
